THE CAROLINA HOTEL & SOY BACALAR HAVE ORGANIZED AN EXCITING FREE TREASURE HUNT.

30 minutes by car • 1 hour by bike • 1 hour 30 minutes walking.
Explore the village in search of 6 crucial clues that will reveal the secret phrase to open the treasure chest.
Note: Mondays are rest days for all law-abiding pirates!
• BOLD BUCCANEERS! HERE ARE THE CLUES •
#1 At the Market Calle 28 with Av. 9, pay homage to the Virgin and here, look for on a nearby green sign: the Maya word for "chaya tamale" (10 letters).
#2 Calle 26 with Avenida 5, look up to the skies, and find the century in which the Casa de la Cultura was built, a beautiful colonial house (in Roman numerals).
#3 In the courtyard of the San Joaquín Church, find a key message: "Love does not delight in evil", on a majestic tree named _ _ _ _ _ .
#4 In front of the Maya mural of the Municipal Palace, in the 3rd column, name the vegetation specialized in producing oxygen and preserving biodiversity.
#5 Near the entrance to Fort San Felipe, look for a large engraved circular stone. Will you decipher the Maya name of our town in the year 415?
#6 Enjoy the surroundings of the Ecological Park to unveil the title of the nearest Independent Cultural Center.
